Oakmount has hosted more US major tournaments than any other course in America. Yet again the US Open is to return in 2007. The greens at Oakmount are regarded as the fastest and hardest in championship golf.

Oakland hills has been home to numerous US PGA and Open events as well as the 2004 Ryder cup matches. The course nicknamed  “the monster” is a tough challenge with its tight tree lined fairways and massive sloping greens.

The Brabazon course at the belfry has been the host to the Ryder cup on 4 occasions as well as numerous European tour events. Key holes on the course include the driveable but very dangerous 10th hole, and the famous 18th, a spectacular closing hole.
